About OME

E Komo Mai

The Office of Medical Education (OME) at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine is composed of dedicated faculty and staff who design, administer, and evaluate key elements of the medical student curriculum.  OME is responsible for delivering all pre-clerkship PBL courses as well as all clinical skills and community health courses in the first two years of the curriculum.  OME also oversees the third-year longitudinal clerkship program, the third-year colloquia series, and senior seminars.  In addition to its vital educational role, OME delivers faculty development both locally and internationally, supports faculty and student research in medical education, and coordinates a wide variety of community service initiatives that support health education in Hawaii.  Welcome to our website!
